Looking back, we cannot have imagined how all of this would come to a close. When called us in 2010 to “Give our lives away”, we were not quite certain what that would look like or how long it might take. And while our temporary journey may be over, it is our eternal journey that must continue. Giving our lives away is not something we merely do for a season, but something we did for a season, in order to establish a permanent way of life. If we had the opportunity, we would never go back.
“Those who dare not risk, and those who fear the sacrifice, will never live to experience the immeasurable joy and immense sense of purpose that come from having given their lives to something greater than themselves.”
As God establishes our family in this new home, who knows what treasures He may bring our way. For now, we wait, watch and wonder. We are excited, for His promises are great, and His love endures forever.
Love, peace, grace and mercy to each of you. And may you, in this year, respond to God’s heart and call to “give your lives away” as well. Peace to each of you,
-Shannon, Liz & Sequoia
